World Textile Information Network (WTiN) and IMI Europe have signed a strategic partnership for co-operation in the delivery of events and intelligence for the inkjet technology and textile user community.

The Shop and Display Equipment Association (SDEA) is offering grants to UK companies in the retail display industry to help them boost exports through exhibiting at EuroShop 2017 in Dusseldorf. Grants worth £45,000 are available through the association to SMEs taking on the Government’s challenge to double exports by 2020.

Drupa will be the launchpad for the 3.2m wide Acuity LED 3200R from Fujifilm. The roll printer builds on the success of the Acuity LED 1600 II UV inkjet printer introduced last year, and the original Acuity LED 1600 that came to market in 2012. It will be commercially available in the middle of this year.

Avery Dennison is buying the European business of Mactac from Platinum Equity, a California-based private equity firm, for the purchase price of 200m Euro (including assumed debt). It will maintain the Mactac brand for graphic films.
