Mimaki has concluded a basic agreement to purchase the stocks of Italian textile specialist La Meccanica Costruzione Tessili. The deal is expected to be concluded before the end of March. Mimaki said the aim is to expand the market share in the European textile and apparel markets.

CWE Solutions has confirmed it is now part of the Papergraphics Group. In a statement the company said: “We are pleased to be joining Papergraphics, a business that has a great reputation in supplying wide-format media and services. Together we believe that we will be able to offer the graphics industry a market leading portfolio of hardware, software, technical expertise and media.

Screen Europe will use Fespa Digital in March to unveil further developments to its Truepress Jet 3200UV flatbed printer. However, the upgraded printer is available now and can be seen in action at Screen's demonstration facilities in the UK and Amsterdam.
Notably, Fespa visitors will see the Truepress Jet operating in both roll-to-roll and in flatbed modes on a range of flexible and rigid substrates.

Neschen has expanded its range of self-produced wallpapers under the ‘Green Wall’ brand. The first products will be shown at Heimtextil in Frankfurt next week (12 – 15 January) in cooperation with Mimaki. They will also be shown at Fespa Digital in March.

CMYUK is offering free prepress and operator training to all UK EFI Vutek printerusers throughout 2016. The training courses will take place at CMYUK in Shrewsbury from 9am to 5pm. Prepress training courses run 13 Jan, 10 Feb, 17 Feb, 9 Mar, 16 Mar. Vutek refresh training is on 19-20 Jan, 23-24 Feb, 22-23 Mar. Lunch will be provided, and places are first come, first serve basis.

Hollywood Monster created this 15m x 4m wall graphic for Cineworld Birmingham Broad Street to help launch ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. The graphic printed in sections on a Vutek H2000 using CMYUK Utack removable textile.

Eyal Manzoor has been appointed managing director at Kornit Digital Europe, replacing Wilfried Kampe. Manzoor will oversee Kornit Digital’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

EFI has hired Sheri Rhodes as its chief information officer. Rhodes, who started at EFI in early December, reports to EFI senior vice president Toby Weiss.

John E Wright has bought a Zund G3 L-2500 digital cutting table for its Hull operation. The company plans to increase its 13 strong workforce on the back of the investment.

Live product demonstrations and an online meeting booking facility are set to improve the visitor and exhibitor experience at Sign and Digital UK, and will be available to pre-registered visitors in the run up to the show which will take place at the NEC, Birmingham on 19 - 21 April 2016.
