Case study from Papergraphics

The Big Display Company continues to invest in its core principle that service is the key to success, having recently purchased three HP Latex L570 printers from Papergraphics.
The Big Display Company specialise in high-quality large format display solutions, produced in short lead-times. Offering a wide range of products from banners, to flags, and rigid boards; The Big Display Company is a busy trade-production environment that prioritises efficiency and customer service. The business initially began as a trophy manufacturer, but responding to customer demand, it expanded around 12 years ago to include banner and poster printing for events. "We found there was a great opportunity for a reliable trade printer that could efficiently produce short runs in quick lead times,” Jack Murphy, Marketing Director for The Big Display Company, explains. “The business continues to grow, and we needed more printers to maintain and improve our service efficiency. So, the company approached Papergraphics to see if they could come up with a solution.” “We decided to work with Papergraphics as they were able to offer us the entire package. With (own brand) materials that had been tested on the '570 so we knew there would be no compatibility issues. What's more, our overall experience with the company is always very positive. The Papergraphics team have a good product and machine knowledge. They help us to troubleshoot any issues we have without the typical machine vs material/substrate debate you can get with other material suppliers.” Jack continues. The HP L570 is the ideal choice for print service providers looking to capitalise on both indoor and outdoor wide-format applications. Latex ink technology offers time-saving efficiency and increased productivity; delivering prints that dry instantly, are scratch-resistant and can be laminated immediately. The L570 prints up to 1.63m wide at speeds of up to 23m2/hr for indoor quality (8 passes), produces high-quality double-sided prints with vivid colours and smooth transitions. It also has an efficient ink collector for printing porous substrates and a built-in i1 spectrophotometer that can handle substantial rolls, up to 55kg for cost-effective long print-runs. The HP L570 is a low maintenance solution that offers reliable print performance. With its easy-to-use operation, and the ability to print anything from posters, banners, canvas, pop-ups and vinyl, it's a machine that the Papergraphics team is happy to recommend. Jack comments, “Our existing HP Latex 360 performed well, but we just needed greater capacity following an increase in demand for high-quality SAV and double-sided banners. We knew the latex quality worked and were interested in the new features of the 570 model. We purchased the first machine in 2018, and then, due to further increased demand and success, we invested in two more, plus a Summa cutter, to help with our output, earlier this year. " We are now much more efficient and cost-effective with how we can run our production. We can have one or two of the L570 machines running the same materials all day, with the third chopping and changing for the more specialist same-day turnaround jobs.”
