Case study from Bigprinter

Bigprinter has successfully installed a complete printing and cutting system at M.A. Systems in Wallenhorst, Germany, despite Covid 19.

The complete solution consists of two devices: a Bigprinter UV flatbed printer and a Bigzee GL ATC CNC machine with knife module and a tool changer.

The company M.A. Systems has positioned itself due to the growing demands in the industry and the required tasks in the construction of exhibition stands and the associated new possibilities despite the growing complexity.

And in order to fulfill this task, materials are both printed and then cut into shape with a very low personal effort. The coordinated software and hardware components work almost entirely automatically as a print and cut solution. For example, the printer and the CNC router work together in perfect harmony via a camera system in this postpress work area. An ideal addition and extension of the business fields of the typical trade fair construction and the existing possibilities. A special feature of the Bigprinter is the incredibly high scratch resistance of the print and the absence of gloss effects in the finished print products. The printer and the CNC machine each have identical dimensions with a working area of 2 x 3 meters. The presence of a knife option on the CNC machine has greatly expanded the range of materials that can be processed, including chipless cutting of some materials at high speed.

The installation was carried out and realized without problems, in compliance with Corona rules, in a special operation in collaboration with a Bigprinter technician and the support of Modico technicians from our German distributor Modico.
