Case study supplied by InkTec

With not enough room in their existing facility, Spectrum Sign and Display took radical steps to re-configure and expand their current building to allow enough space for the 2500 x 3060mm stationary flatbed.  This also included establishing a dedicated air conditioned and ventilated room for the new addition to their printer portfolio.

The varieties of signage Spectrum Sign and Display design, manufacture and install across a wide spectrum of sectors required an equally flexible wide format printer that could meet these exacting demands. A great deal of time was spent researching various large format machines both from leading manufacturers and less well known brands with the functionality of each carefully reviewed to see how it would perform.  However, the appeal of the JETRIX KX7D shone through in terms of its multiple functionality and efficient productivity delivering 60sqm speeds in production mode.

“For us, there were lots of contributing factors as to why we went for the Jetrix KX7D, but one key feature which was of significant appeal was the ability to pause the printer mid job. We have to say we have been really impressed with the machine since we got it at the end of the summer and it really does seem to rattle through the work” says Julian Robinson, Director at Spectrum Sign and Display.
