Case study from CMYUK

London-based Park Communications is widely known as the city’s preeminent printer. Built on foundations of quality service, technology and consultative thinking, the company prides itself on a flexible approach and commitment to prompt project delivery. This was put to the test recently when they were contacted by Askew, a creative consultancy and design studio based in New York, at 10:30pm and asked to produce three high-quality fashion posters mounted on 1/4" white foamcore (24x36in), needed the following day.
Askew build and elevate brands by identifying strategic and conceptual drivers, creating work that seeks innovation, cultural resonance and thoughtful creativity. Park Communications was the obvious choice with their knowledge and skills, and high-end printing technology including the EFI Vutek GS3250LX Pro UD, purchased from CMYUK. “We confirmed we could meet the deadline and recommended printing straight onto foam board. Printing directly onto the substrate achieves a better finished result, eliminating any potential ripples or bubbles, as well as being cheaper for the customer,” says Alison Branch, MD at Park Communications. “The final artwork file was transmitted to us from New York at midnight and the board was ordered at 8.30am on Wednesday morning.” With its production-level speeds and continuous print functionality, the innovative ink-curing technology of the EFI Vutek GS3250LX Pro LED hybrid printer allowed a quick turnaround and high-quality finish avoiding ripples or bubbles. With virtually no VOCs, fewer consumables, less waste, lower energy consumption, and the ability to print on recycled and other heat-sensitive materials without warping or head strikes, it’s also a greener printing solution.
