AXYZ aims to be top gun at two further open days

Building on the success of the previous single day event, AXYZ International will be holding two further open days on 5th and 19th November. These will take place at two Royal Air Force museum sites, the first of which is situated near Wolverhampton to accommodate customers from the North and Midlands, and the second in North London to facilitate customers located in the South-East.

Choice of the RAF sites proved extremely popular in the past, not only because of their regional accessibility but also because they provide the opportunity for visitors to view a galaxy of interesting RAF artefacts in addition to the routing technology on show.

At both venues, AXYZ International will showcase its latest products and accessories and conduct demonstrations to highlight the versatility and business enhancement capabilities of both. Key products to be featured will be a heavy duty Pacer 4008 and an AXYZ 4010 router that incorporates a routing spindle, 7G ATC (Automatic Tool Change) facility, a knife and compatible AVS (AXYZ Vision System) that greatly enhances the accuracy and versatility of the machine.

In particular, the state-of-the-art AVS system incorporates a low cost camera that can be easily mounted on the head of the AXYZ router, either as an optional new production feature or as an upgrade to existing installations. Use of the AVS will ensure that printed images are cut accurately and at high speeds, whilst also reducing waste. It is compatible with all cutting tools that can be used on an AXYZ machine such as routers, oscillating knife, tangential knife and even vinyl drag knife tools. This allows virtually any printed material to be cut including card, vinyl, rubber, foam, aluminium, wood, acrylic and lots more which opens up many new markets and opportunities for digital printers.

The Pacer 4008 Series machine is built on a single piece, stress relieved heavy duty steel frame and includes a fully zoned aluminium vacuum bed with either manual or automatic switching. The steel gantry runs on high quality linear bearings and is driven on both sides by servo motors coupled through planetary gearboxes. This provides a strong transmission for quality high speed machining and auto squaring of the gantry for precise alignment at all times. ??At both venues, AXYZ International will showcase its latest products and accessories and conduct demonstrations to highlight the versatility and business enhancement capabilities of both. The X and Y axes are driven by helical rack and pinions. This offers superior high speed performance for quiet running, greater accuracy, smoother cutting and allows greater acceleration to be used where required. Precise depth control is achieved on the Z axis by using a ballscrew drive for backlash free motion.

Axyz CNC router

The AXYZ 4010 Series router is one of the most popular in the AXYZ International portfolio for both the sign-making and print finishing industries. The machine has a processing area of 3,048mm (length) by 1,524mm (width). It can be supplied with a host of both standard and optional performance enhancing features, including a recently expanded (up to 33-station) automatic tool change facility that provides both automatic and manual tool change options.

In addition to the expanded ATC facility, a number of new or recently introduced machine upgrades are now available to AXYZ router owners, the most notable of which is the AXYZ Auto Zone Management facility. This ensures that the material being processed is always held securely throughout the routing/cutting process to provide optimum accuracy and a superior cut finish. In addition to greatly improving material hold-down efficiency, the facility also helps minimise material wastage and machine downtime caused by incorrectly set vacuum valves.

As well as the Pacer and AXYZ Series routers there will also be a dedicated AXYZ CNCRoutershop section. This will feature the latest tooling, spare parts and associated services that accommodate not only CNC routing, engraving and cutting systems supplied by AXYZ International but also virtually any of those provided by other manufacturers, regardless of type and country of origin.

If you are currently considering investment in a new CNC router or perhaps wishing to upgrade an existing machine, this would be an ideal time to visit AXYZ International.
