What’s having the greatest impact on your business at the moment?
We are currently in a period of rapid growth which has created a number of job opportunities. Being a company at the forefront of our industry, this has attracted highly skilled staff in areas all over our business. Bringing these on board has pushed us to a new level of expertise.
Where do you see the greatest wide-format opportunities?
As part of our growth plan we are looking to acquire litho, digital, large-format and packaging businesses; this presents our greatest opportunity.
What would make your day-to-day operations easier?
End-to-end digital workflow, which is something we have in the pipeline for small-format and large-format.
Your favourite bit of kit is..?
HP Scitex FB7600 with Enhanced Colour pack (orange). It’s been a massive success with many customers. They were unaware of the colour improvements not just in orange but colours and images across the board and of course the quality in print this upgrade provides. It’s fantastic as we can now run the orange colours on both inkjet flatbed technology and our small format Indigo. So whole campaigns are consistent in colours. Not many printers can say this!
What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given?
I love the quote: "If you run a business, don't expect to get up tomorrow and not have any problems to solve. If you have no problems to deal with, you probably don't have a business" I look at this quote and realise my job is being a problem solver.
What are you most proud of achieving?
Growing our business from £2 million to £6 million in three years. This is because of the incredible workforce and the commitment we have from them that has enabled us to get to where we are today
What lesson does the wide-format sector need to learn?
Quality and price are a given in this industry now, but If you can offer a five star service as well, then repeat business is almost guaranteed!
