Integration Technology's debut UV curing system Lampcure VZero - built into Zund wide-format platforms - is being replaced after nearly 20 years on the market.
Developed in 2000, the compact and lightweight solution for inkjet printing came to market following trials in partnership with printhead manufacturer Xaar and Sericol Inks, leading to factory testing at Zund in Switzerland on its wide-format UV ink jet platform. Every Zund wide-format platform built subsequently has been fitted with VZero lamps.
Integration Technology has promised that spare parts for the system will continue to be manufactured until 2024. Users are meanwhile being directed to alternative solutions to VZero and the later VZero 2 model. Arc-based technology users are being recommended either the Integration Technology SubZero or the MBS5Li from IST Metz, while Integration Technology's VZ and VZX range of air-cooled solutions are preferred systems for processes requiring UV LED curing.
