Roland DG brings new cutter and printer offerings to EMEA

Roland has brought the new 29in LV-290 and 18in LV-180 laser engravers to the EMEA market, as well as its new VersaUV LEF2-300 benchtop UV flatbed printer.
The VersaUV LEF2-300 printer has a 330x100mm print area and incorporates four printheads and two UV lamps. A clear ink capability can be used to produce gloss and matt finishes that can be applied in multiple layers for a simulated embossed look. “By combining the LV series’ capabilities with our LEF/LEF2 series UV benchtop flatbed printers featuring exceptional print capabilities, it is possible to create premium value items which cannot be accomplished by each product alone,” said Kohei Tanabe, president of Roland DG's digital printing business division. He added:, "In Japan, acrylic character stands and accessories made by cutting out resin sheets printed with illustrations into unique shapes are highly popular, and our UV flatbed printers are widely used in creating those applications. By introducing this solution to our customers around the world, we hope our customers will create new value and excitement through unleashing their creative possibilities and transforming their imaginations into reality.”
