Pixcolor takes another Karibu weeks after first

French PSP Pixcolor has installed two swissQprint Karibu UV roll-to-roll printers in rapid succession, and said farewell to sublimation printing.
Pixcolor - based in Nancy - commissioned its second Karibu at the end of last month, a few weeks after its first began work in early October, bringing its swissQprint large-format printer count up to three - is also has a Nyala flatbed. "Karibu's potential quickly became apparent," said Frederic Toupenay, managing director of Pixcolor, which prints banners, textiles, films, paper and magnetic sheets. "We've always printed a lot of flexible materials with our Nyala and a sublimation printer, but Karibu brought an instant leap in quality, efficiency and reliability. Of the many printers we've had, none has processed everything as smoothly as Karibu. Even older rolls of material that choked other machines worked with it." Toupenay also highlighted the machine’s problem-free folding, and ink colourfastness and GreenGuard Gold certification, believing this should open doors to new customer segments.
