B&P Graphics introduces AquaRes resin ink for solvent machines

Sign and Digital UK will see the UK introduction of the water-based Sepiax range of AquaRes resin inks by B&P Graphic Supplies. The company said the inks will run in existing solvent machines using piezo printinghead technology via a simple changeover process and without major machine modification.

Andrew Wilson, managing director B&P Graphics, said: "In a time when so many ink companies are declaring new, innovative, products which often turn out to be just a 'me too' product, repackaged, it is refreshing to see a product that actually addresses the needs of the customer base. There are many sign-makers and digital printers who are setting money aside to purchase new technology in the form of UV or latex printers - they will be relieved to know that there is now a cost-effective alternative."

B&P said AquaRes inks provide good adhesion and abrasion-proofing on PVC banner, polyester, Tyvek (without coating) through to aluminium foil etc. The colour gamut and UV durability is said to be similar to that of solvent inks, but there are no solvents used in the formulation. ?

AquaRes inks, available in CMYK and light colours (c,m), will be on show on stand G22.?
