Typecraft Print takes to TV with footie crowd cut-outs

Typecraft Print earned a spot on local TV after printing 500 Cheltenham Town FC fan cut-outs for a fundraiser.
Using its Agfa Anapurna M2500i wide-format machine, the company raised £12,500 for the club via an initiative that saw fans pay £25 to have their images printed and placed in the cut-out crowd at the team’s biggest game of the season. Typecraft sales and production director, Matt Magovern - a supporter of the club for over 30 years and club sponsor - and his son Logan, were the first to pledge their allegiance. Magovern was then invited to demonstrate the production of the cut-out crowd on the Agfa printer on local TV and subsequently the BBC Sport website. “It was a really easy job to print on our Agfa engine,” said Magovern. “The story really escalated, demonstrating a great club initiative that meant we gave a bit to the club and to charity too. At the end of the event all the cut outs are to be returned to their owners signed by each player at the club.” The job, which was printed on 3mm foamex on Agfa Anapurna M2500i bought from I-Sub Digital in 2015. The hybrid machine – which offers 4/5 colour plus white UV LED-curable printing - enabled Typecraft to produce 25 images on a 10 x 5ft sheet and then contour cut immediately after printing.
