For the first time, apprentices at Onlineprinters will receive a two-day onboarding, to learn how the company has evolved over the last 16 years from being a family-run printing business to become an online specialist with 1,660 employees.
Eight young will be trained as media technologists or IT specialists this autumn. They will be supervised by staff from the different departments together with HR manager Juliana Gubar, who said: "All our trainees take part in comprehensive onboarding at the beginning of their apprenticeship. They learn what makes the Onlineprinters business model so successful and how the company has evolved to become one of Europe's leading online printers.”
The company - of which UK-based Solopress is part - sells more than 5,000 printed products, including large-format advertising. It produced more than 3.2bn printed advertising products last year, with orders coming in from 22 web shops (available in 10 different languages).
CEO Roland Keppler said the majority of the company's trainees remain with Onlineprinters following their apprenticeship.
