First online Drupa preview attracts 1,900

Drupa organisers are claiming success for the first digital Drupa preview, which attracted 1,900 visitors when it went live last week, 27 October. The next Drupa preview day will take place on 17 November.

“The response from exhibitors and visitors following the first preview was very positive,” said Sabine Geldermann, project director print technologies. “Drupa preview offers a valuable basis for regular customer contacts, enabling ongoing interaction within our community during this pandemic. Its digital format helps enhance our customer communications, focusing on the industry’s future topics. From now on, it is our goal to create a hybrid concept, perfectly combining the best of both worlds in order to ensure the April [2021] event can take place under optimal conditions.”

The proportion of international visitors to the Drupa preview was at 70%, with the top five countries being Japan, India, UK, the Netherlands and Germany. Around 1.400 exhibitors from 50 countries presented their products, solutions and applications within the exhibition space on the digital platform.

All speeches and videos will shortly be available at preview.drupa.com.
