The ‘Women in Sign and Graphics UK’ industry initiative to inspire, encourage and promote women in the industry, will kick-off with a virtual speaker programme at noon-2.30pm on 3 December.
The event - originally scheduled to take place at The Sign Group in Leeds - will feature founders Sarah Winterbottom, business development manager, Josero, and Izabella Ivanovici, specialist recruitment consultant, INV Recruitment interviewing speakers Sophie Kirby from The Printing Charity, Ian Hoole from The Sign Group, Sam Armstrong of Make It Happen, Marcus Timson of FM Future, and Karis Copp of Karis Copp Media, before opening up the discussion to attendees.
“It is a shame that we can’t do this [event] in person, but bring on 2021 as we now have vaccines in sight. It will be great to see everyone on Zoom and listen to the community’s thoughts and ideas on how we can increase diversity in this sector. We have some great speakers joining us so it should be a lively session,” said Winterbottom.
