swissQprint gets new CEO

swissQprint has a new CEO. Kilian Hintermann took up the position on 1 January, replacing Reto Eicher who has become CTO.

In his previous positions as product manager and head of the recently established Print Solutions Centre, Hintermann has acquired knowledge of swissQprint UV inkjet printers - which it has been making since 2007 - and gained an all-round understanding of the market. In his new role he said: "We intend to continue driving innovation in the digital printing sector, and we aim to provide the market with solutions that are both practical and competitive."

In his new role as CTO, Eicher will focus on product development. Alongside Hansjorg Untersander and Roland Fetting, he is one of the company's three founders - all of them still members of the management team. The Swiss company has an almost 170-strong workforce including 110 at its headquarters. Sales and service are handled by five subsidiaries and around 30 independent partners worldwide.
