Oc? to focus on Canon cross-selling
Oc? chairman Rokus van Iperen used the release of the company's Q1 results to state that with Canon having acquired 85% of the company's common shares, Oc?'s "priority and focus in the short term is cross-selling Canon products in Oc? channels and vice versa."
Oc? made a net loss of 5m Euro in the three months to February 2010 on a total revenue of 614m Euro, a seven percent drop on same period the previous year. A slowdown in construction and manufacturing were cited as having a major impact on the wide-format printing systems division. Revenues here were 159million Euro, a nine percent organic decline.
"Although our revenues were still declining in first quarter 2010, the decrease was less significant than in each of the three previous quarters. Some of our key markets are showing signs of either stabilizing or even picking up," added van Iperen.
