Gardners moves into small-format print

Large-format print specialist Gardners has diversified into small-format with the purchase of a HP Indigo 7900.

The 45-year old company has been diversifying its offering for some time, having launched the pollution-eating coating ReActivair and various Covid-19 essential services for its clients. Now, with the installation of the HP Indigo, Gardners aims to extend its print offering in the small-format space.

MD Richard Courtney said: “We’ve seen demand for small-format print grow as businesses strive to promote their services during the pandemic and as they plan for post-Covid recovery. For us, it made total business sense to invest in other parts of the print sector to support our customers across the spectrum of printed communications whilst, of course, keeping our strong position in the digital large-format market.”

Gardners - which joined the Hexcite Group in 2019 – aims to amplify this progress by continuing to invest in automation and efficiency.
