VGL takes Durst Rhotex 325

VGL in Reading has started live production on its new Durst Rhotex 325.

Mark Elen, production director at VGL - which already owns several other Durst printers - said: “The Durst Rho 325 literally eats the volumes and is three to four times faster than the machines it will replace.

He added: “We needed a decisive response to increased demands for fast turnaround and just-in-time delivery. More than ever we need to be extremely agile in a more competitive market where, for example, we get asked by internationally-renowned brands to change job specfications at a moment’s notice. And often we won’t know whether it’s 300 or 3,000m2 to be printed.”

VGL’s broad portfolio covers outdoor signage, transport, architectural, retail and promotional work as well as consultancy and strategic project management. It also has a creative studio. The new Rhotex 325 will allow the company to enter new specialist areas, such as printing on stretch materials, as well as on transfer papers and textiles.
