Signbox savours outcome of its most involved project to date

Signbox has completed one of the most involved signage projects it has ever been commissioned to fulfil. Calling on the entire Signbox design, manufacturing and installation teams, the job demanded wide-format digitally printed wallcoverings in each of 25 meeting rooms at Pernod Ricard’s new 7896m2 UK headquarters at Chiswick Parkestate in West London.

The signage company was tasked with bringing to life Pernod Ricard’s ‘Conviviality at Work’ ethos and reflect the personality of a multitude of the French drinks company’s global brands. The design brief from HLW architects required a multitude of textures, all achieved with HP latex digital printed Digimura, from faux brickwork to distressed timber and stucco plaster as feature walls incorporating LED illuminated brand signs, tension fabric frames and bespoke metalwork.

Signbox was commissioned by workplace design and fit-out experts BW Interiors and worked closely with it and HLW to deliver the project.

“Our reliance on cutting-edge materials, technologies and processes, colour palettes, textures and project management was critical to the successful interpretation of the BW Interiors brief. Most elements in the scheme were digitally printed on Digimura wallcoverings on our HP latex printers. We also used a digitally printed optically clear film for all glass manifestations, referred to as ‘flow graphics’ that symbolise fluidity and liquid movement to create a sense of calm and provide a level of privacy,” said Signbox MD Mark Bartlett.

Highlights of the scheme included: furniture wraps and backdrops with high-tack adhesive vinyl applied in ‘brand activation’ spaces and to bespoke joinery podiums; a 3D faux stone wall in the Chivas Conference Room adorned with craft fabricated metalwork and bottle display alongside custom shelving; a Digimura faux brick wall with applied lettering cut from gold vinyl fused onto Beefeater-branded 3D lettering in The Beefeater room; tension framed artwork, bespoke shelving and a faux neon sign in 3D lettering in the Havana Club meeting room; and a gold tree wall display in routed acrylic and sprayed a specialist gold paint finish, with Digimura ‘wood’ finish wallpaper in the Chivas Minuzara room.
