Canon's Business Leap competition now open to entry
?Canon's Business Leap competition, announced in February, is now open to entry. Reflecting Canon's 'Leap' theme for Ipex 2010, the competition aims to inspire printers to consider making a leap in a new business direction, while at the same time providing guidance in the creation of a comprehensive business plan, a crucial requirement for any printer seeking access to finance.
Entrants must submit a formal plan for a digital print business by midnight, 31 July. From the entries, which will be limited to the first valid 150, a shortlist of 20 will be required to submit a three-year financial plan. Ten finalists will be then chosen from the shortlist and will be individually interviewed by a panel of independent business consultants, who will select a winner and two runners-up.
