FaberExposize UK increases capacity with Avinci CX3200

Leeds-based wide-format display PSP FaberExposize UK - which also trades as Northern Flags - has installed an Agfa Avinci CX3200 printer, enabling it to double its capacity for backlit work.

The 3.2m roll-to-roll dye-sublimation printer, which can run at up to 270m²/h, will allow the company to increase its work in soft furnishings as well as for retail and exhibitions.

The new printer follows a pre-pandemic £500,000 investment, with the construction of a new mezzanine floor for the exhibition finishing department and a raft of additional finishing equipment.

Managing firector of FaberExposize UK and Northern Flags, Iain Clasper-Cotte, said: “When we moved in to these premises in 2017 we never intended to become the UK’s largest Agfa dye-sublimation print partner. The new Avinci CX3200 is our sixth large-format printer and will allow us to deliver even better quality, agility and flexibility to our growing book of clients.

“During the pandemic, we saw a huge increase in demand for our rigid signage but now that businesses are reopening after the pandemic, we’re also seeing a real desire for backlit and frontlit print too. For retail, commercial interiors and exhibitions it’s a great way to wow with vibrant print and our new addition from Agfa will ensure we can deliver the best around.”
