OneVision to demo workflow with Canon and Zund at Fespa Global

OneVision will work with Canon and Zund at Fespa Global Print Expo to demonstrate how print products from a wide range of materials can be prepared and nested with Wide Format Automation Suite.

Output will be printed with Canon's printing systems and then cut on site with the Zund S3 L-1200 cutter.

Wide Format Automation Suite software, so called ‘middleware’, is a workflow management system that can be integrated with existing IT (e.g. MIS, web shop, DFE). It downloads print files from FTP, web or e-mail servers and sends the files through defined workflows for automated print file preparation. The integrated prepress package checks up to 145 different criteria, and automatically corrects detected errors (e.g. adding bleed, reduce file complexity, colour management, flattening transparencies).

In addition, tools tailored to the needs of wide format printers - such as nesting, tiling and panelling, adding hemstitches, creating cut lines - automatically prepare files for the printing and finishing process. The software then automatically transfers the required production files to printers and postpress systems.

Fespa Global Print Expo takes place in Amsterdam, 12-15 October.
