St Ives has appointed a new MD for the SP Group, its POS, POP and related services division. Steve Parkin takes the SP helm supported by other new key appointments to drive business growth - Andrew Mallows becomes sales director while Adrian Hope takes on the IT directorship.
With a background in sales and operations for blue chip brands, including Exxon, Mars and the Football Association, mixed with several previous MD roles in distribution, sports, leisure and healthcare businesses, Parkin's experience and contacts are expected to greatly benefit SP Group.
Lloyd Wigglesworth, group MD, Commercial, St Ives, said: "Parkin's background is perfect for the business and his knowledge of our customers and their markets is ideal in understanding the drivers for retail POS and POP requirements today and, crucially, tomorrow.'
SP Group provides an end-to-end management solution from initial concept and project briefing, through to pre-production and printing to fulfilment, logistics handling, market research, store audits, compliance audits and business process analysis.
Parkin said: "SP Group is a great business with a healthy customer portfolio and balance sheet. However, as the world adjusts to the new economic reality, marketing budgets are tighter and the need to add value to provide increased benefits to our customers is even stronger.?
"Fortunately, SP Group's customer service approach has always been from a 'partner' perspective, not just as a supplier. Our USP, is understanding our customers' businesses, with delivery of the tools and services to enable them to better meet their wider business objectives - whether that is increasing sales, better communicating their brand or reducing costs. With market leading services, I am excited about leading the business in the next phase of its history.
