Mutoh has unveiled the 54in XPJ-1341SR Pro and 64in XPJ-1641SR Pro digital inkjet printers, faster replacements for the ValueJet 1324X and XpertJet 1641SR respectively.
The XPJ-1341SR Pro is said to be up to up to 212% quicker than the VJ-1324X, and the XPJ-1641SR Pro up to 201% quicker than the XPJ-1641SR.
Engineered and manufactured in Japan, both the CMYK models incorporate Mutoh’s new AccuFine extra-wide 1600 nozzles printhead, the company’s fourth generation Intelligent Interweaving technology i-screen, and its VerteLith Rip software. The new printers also integrate automatic alignments to ensure uninterrupted production and consistent quality.
The XpertJet Pro series - which use Gold certified Mutoh MS31/MS41 inks - are targeted at the volume production of sign and display graphics for long-term outdoor applications and durable prints for indoor use.
The new printhead guarantees improved droplet quality, along with more accurate drop positioning. The i-screen weaving algorithms as implemented in the firmware of the Pro class engines put the increased droplet quality to use by suppressing banding even more. The VerteLith proprietary Mutoh screening, called Clear Tone, employs the improvements to the printer and print head to deliver even better gradients and skin tones, even in 4-colour setup, free of any noise.
The XPJ-1341SR Pro and XPJ-1641SR Pro will be marketed by Mutoh Europe throughout the EMEA business area through its existing network of certified distributors.
