Riot of Colour presents London's biggest 3D lenticular

A whopping 5m wide x 2.4m high 3D lenticular display promoting the DVD launch of the smash hit Avatar has been produced by Riot of Colour. The graphic was made to span the main window of HMV's flagship Oxford Street store in London. A second version, of a similar size, has also been created for the Bond Street store.

In association with Durrant Wapshott, Riot of Colour was asked to create and build a 3D lenticular graphic like no other. A huge effort was required to turn these two billboards around to a tight deadline which meant using specific new techniques to help with the rendering of enormous digital file sizes. ??

"This is the largest 3D panel we have ever produced," said Riot of Colour director Mark Roblett. "It's always nice to have an opportunity to push the boundaries of lenticular technology to new levels." ? ??
