Works of Hart and Funky Labels take Europe’s first Roland VG3 machines

Works of Hart and Funky Labels have ordered Europe’s first units of the new Roland DG TrueVis print-and-cut series, with a VG3-640 and VG3-540 respectively. The machines have been ordered though Hampshire based Roland DG reseller printMax.

The VG3 series is due for delivery from May with limited UK availability before the summer. Works of Hart director Steve Hart placed an order for the VG3-640 within half an hour of its launch and without seeing it first-hand die to his trust in the relationship with printMax. Funky Labels director Caroline Gascoyne had already placed an order for the VG2 but upgraded to the VG3-540 on hearing of the new release.

“I’ve used the VersaCamm series since 2010 and it’s a real workhorse. Easy to use, cost-efficient and all round a great printer, so it’s taken me a while to find something that impresses me enough to upgrade. When Chris at printMax mentioned there was something new coming, I was intrigued. As soon as any info was available, it was easy to see the improvements and it’s going to take my print business to the next level,” said Hart, for whom the CMYK LcLm OrGr colour configuration was a major draw.

For Gascoyne, the enhanced usability of the VG3 was of appeal, especially the automatic print feed calibration. The new VG3-540 joins a VG and two VG2s in the Funky Labels printroom.
