Mixed messaging on environment shows BAPC survey

Environmental issues continue to get a mixed response when it comes to the level of importance put upon them by printing companies according to the newest BAPC Environmental Survey results which polled 237 companies in August this year.

18% rated environmental issues as ‘very important’, 36% ‘important’ and 42% ‘of average importance’ though 75% said they believed that in the long term this issue will affect their business. While 67% have at some time been asked to provide environmental credentials in relation to a sales process 56% said ‘green’ issues are only of ‘average importance’ to their customers, 36% said ‘important’ and only 4% said ‘very important’.

82% use a waste management company and three quarters said they are happy with the environmental advice and assistance provided by suppliers. The other 25% isn’t.
