Fine art metal on a roll from Metallurgy4.com

Metallurgy4.com (UK) has brought to market metallurgy fine art metal on a roll, a process of printing fine art images directly onto mirror metal using a standard pigmented inkjet machine while holding Giclee quality at 2880dpi.

Andrew Ainge, founder and developer of Metallurgy4.com, has been experimenting with metallurgy since 2008. He said: “Each metal roll requires careful handling prior to printing due to the mirror metal finish. We use white cotton gloves at all times during the print process to avoid marking the metal, but other than that, it’s just like printing any standard media but the results are stunning, full colour results offer exciting new opportunities for signage and fine art reproduction.’

Metallurgy on a roll is available in 12, 24, 36 and 50in formats with a standard 30m length. The product comes with a high contact adhesive backing so it can be easily mounted post printing.

Metallurgy4.com is in the process of setting up global dealers so interested parties should contact the company direct.
