First PrintIt! Scotland Awards hailed a success
The inaugural PrintIt! Scotland Awards have been hailed a success after Abigail Corsie from Kinross High School in Perthshire claimed her prize as the overall winner of the Scotland 2010 competition
Following the success of its English counterpart, now in its sixth year, PrintIt! Scotland was launched in January 2010. The programme is designed to raise the profile of the printing industry and attract young people to consider a career in print. he industry-funded educational initiative driven by sector skills council, Proskills worked in collaboration with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) to make the competition available to Standard Grade, Intermediate 1 and 2 Graphic Communication students.
Corsie received praise for her entry to the 'Best Table Talker' category, and was awarded an iPad and FujiFilm digital camera for her outstanding submission as well as a Duplo trimmer for her school. Other category winners were:
