Pantone announces Colour Palette of the Month

Pantone has announced Focal Points as the Colour Palette of the Month. Focal Points is a palette of the warm advancing shades of muskmelon, clay and burnt coral combined with aurora red, purples and wine. The palette also includes fashionable Honeysuckle which is the Pantone Colour of the Year 2011.

The Colour Palette of the Month provides designers with a selection of trend colours and advice for how to use these colours to optimise layouts. To transport a message clearly and directly via a certain design, colour combinations should offer visual triggers that evoke specific reactions and emotions. Converging colours create a pathway that invariably leads the eye to a given spot. When the hues are both bold and uniquely combined, the effect is even more intense.
