Leopold launches due at Sign and Digital UK
Leopold will be launching two products at Sign and Digital UK; the Fotoba XLD 170 and the VacuVers Print and Glass.
The XLD 170 is designed to work with rolls and sheet materials and, at 1.7m wide, is a flexible cutter. It utilises the Fotoba Cut Marks which are embedded in popular software Rip's. Regardless of any feed misalignment it will automatically re-align itself to the edge of the printed image. If the printer fails to print parallel to the media edge, or if the printer fails to wind up the rolls squarely the XLD170 will still produce square finished posters.
The XLD 170 cutters can handle most flexible media up to a maximum thickness of 0.8mm including polycarbonate, Duratrans, TDF, canvas, laminated or encapsulated prints.
Print and Glass combines print and glass together. A special adhesive interlayer enables the mounting of prints behind, as well as in between glass, producing a fantastic effect for display, signage etc. All the layers are sandwich in the vacuum termo-table called VacuVers to produce displays up to 1.2m x 2.5m.
