Speedscreen shakes on Durst deal

At Sign and Digital UK Durst formalised the handover of the Rho 320R 3.2m wide roll-to-roll UV inkjet printer being shown on the stand to Tim Hill, managing director of Speedscreen in Kent.

“Since we purchased our Durst Rho 800 flatbed 18 months ago our business has grown dramatically. A hybrid capable of printing rigid and roll material, the Rho 800 is kept exceptionally busy with both forms of media and, in particular, we have seen a growth in roll material. We now believe we have enough work to use the 800 exclusively for rigid material and the new Rho 320R to look after all the flexible material,” said Hill.

“We chose the Rho 320R because of its amazing quality, flexibility (it prints on the widest range of media and will print two rolls at once with different images), reliability (unattended printing is a huge benefit to a company our size) and we are extremely happy with the Rho 800, so another Durst was an obvious choice.”
