Viper to show what it can do at Fespa 2013

Kaye-Dee will present the high-speed Viper industrial digital printer at Fespa 2013. Developed by Bergstein Digital, this flatbed printer uses an ‘on the fly’ digital LED UV concept to print a bed of parts in 80 seconds.

The Viper has a 60 x 60cm print area where centred jigs can be mounted for accurate registration, and a height adjustment up to 30cm to accommodate many printable objects.

The printer uses a six-colour blade configuration, driven by Ricoh Gen 4 printheads, which deliver a six-picolitre droplet. Different print modes are available producing higher ink densities for specific applications.  Automatic ink level monitoring is displayed live on screen, with full control from an Apple IPad.

To improve print resolution and clarity the Viper is equipped with an ionization bar and the latest low temperature LED UV curing technology for the printing of sensitive plastics and other materials. A newly developed cleaning station has been developed to prolong the life of the printheads.
