Cover-Up buys :Anapurna M

Cover-Up has bought an Agfa :Anapurna M 1.6m wide-format industrial inkjet printer supplied by the Reprocentre. The new investment comes on top of a recent HP 9000 and a 3.2m HP Scitex XL1500 installed last year.
With branches in Clondalkin and Sandyford Dublin, Cover-Up has re-structured its business model over the last few years to develop a significant presence in the wide-format print sector. The :Anapurna M was bought to produce high quality photo realistic prints directly onto rigid substrates in order to reduce turnaround times.

Anthony Byrne, production manager at Cover-Up, explained: "Our clients are looking for top quality print to give their brand message the best chance of visibility and this new investment offers them just that - on a wide selection of rigid and flexible substrates. The HP 9000 opened up a new market for us in the sign area such as window graphics, indoor displays and smaller outdoor construction hoardings. However, a lot of this work is rigid signage which is very time consuming. With the new printer this problem is eliminated since we can now print and ship. The :Anapurna M is a perfect bolt on production device for our main digital business which is large scale printing of PVC and mesh."
