More UK installs of HP Designjet L65500 show ROI as important as green benefits

With over 120 units of the HP Designjet L65500 printer now installed in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (including eight in the UK) since its launch at Drupa 2008, its ROI has been found to be as strong an attraction as the green benefits first hailed as its main draw.
The HP Designjet L65500, the first to feature latex ink technology, was specifically designed with the environment in mind, but users are seeing productivity benefits too.  As Richard Clark, managing director of vehicle graphic specialist Raccoon, said: "We installed the HP Designjet L65500 because we wanted to get rid of solvents but we've found other benefits too. We save between 36 - 48 hours because the need for off gassing is eliminated - we can laminate as soon as printing has finished, which makes us more productive, and we're using some of the time saved to improve quality control."

Among other dealers, the HP Designjet L65500 is now also available from i-Sub Digital, of Lutterworth, Leicestershire (www.i-subdigital.com).
