Kingswood anticipates large-format growth on back of new appointments

Alan Rigglesford, former MD of defunct Clicks and made MD of London-based Kingswood iOptus last week, expects to take the latter’s turnover from £5m to £7.5m in the next 12 months. He expects at least £2m of that higher figure to come from Kingswood Display, the large-format arm formed last summer and operating in Swanley, Kent.

Rob Long, previously Kingswood iOptus MD and now group MD, said: “We both recognise the opportunities available in large-format, but Alan knows that side of the industry very well and gives us confidence in decision making as we continue to invest and grow in that sector.”

Kingswood iOptus, best known as a small-format digital service provider for clients in central London, has had a small large-format production capability as its Clifton Street premises for some time, but founded the specialist Kingswood Display division and Swanley-based production site after visiting Sign and Digital UK and Drupa in 2016, and subsequently investing in an EFI H1625 LED and Vutek GS3250lx Pro LED. It also houses two HP latex machines and finishing, including a Kongsberg cutter.

Graham Leggett, former production director at Clicks, is joining Kingswood Display as chief operations director. He will be joined by three account handlers that were also previously at Clicks. Danny Horne who was Clicks’ night manager, will help ensure 24 hour working at the Swanley site where further investment in production capability is earmarked over the next 18-24 months.
