Baroness Dean to speak at The Printing Charity’s Annual Luncheon

The Rt Hon. the Baroness Dean of Thornton-le-Fylde will be the guest speaker at the Printing Charity’s 190th Annual Luncheon on Thursday 23 November 2017, at Stationers’ Hall, Ave Maria Lane, London. She is the charity’s present.
Baroness Dean started her working life in the trade union movement and was subsequently elected general secretary of the Society of Graphical and Allied Trades (SOGAT), the printing, publishing and paper trades union. She was created a life peer in 1993 and a member of the Privy Council in 1998. She said: “The Printing Charity does a great job and I’m proud to be its 2017 president. I’ve enjoyed continuing my association with what is now a wide-ranging industry, as well as supporting the annual Print Futures Awards. The charity’s Annual Luncheon is a brilliant networking event for people in the industry.”
