New 3M non-PVC vinyl to reduce environmental impact

A new non-PVC film for medium-term indoor and outdoor graphic has been developed by 3M. Controltac Non-PVC Graphic Film is 100-micron film and designed for piezo inkjet, screen and electrostatic printing processes. When these involve UV or latex inks as opposed to solvent-based ink formulations, 3M says VOC emissions are greatly reduced.

Significantly, this new film incorporates Comply Adhesive technology from 3M to improve the speed at which graphics can be applied and purposely removed without residual adhesive. When used in accordance with 3M's stated recommendations, 3M 3545C Film can also be covered by 3M's MCS (matched component system) warranty and/or the 3M performance guarantee.?

Contingent upon the application, 3M 3545C film has a durability of up to five years. Its performance is further enhanced when it is applied in conjunction with the compatible 3M Scotchcal Luster Overlaminate 8908 film.

3M 3545C film is available from primary distributors William Smith and Spandex.
