The Russians are coming

The Russian manufacturer of a new 2 x 3m UV flatbed printer called the BigPrinter UV2133SW expects to open a European sales office in the UK in 2010. Vermena Goda has just started production of the six-colour-plus-white machine which uses an ink recirculation system developed in conjunction with Industrial Inkjet (the Cambridge-based official distributor and technical support centre for Konica Minolta industrial inkjet products). This is designed to ensure the pigment particles always remain in suspension, providing depth to the printed image and the ability to print directly onto dark media.

Industrial Inkjet managing director John Corrall, recently returned for a visit to visited Vermena Goda, said: "I have been particularly impressed with the quality of print, even when printing on dark materials using white ink. I was able to observe the reliability of the printer over numerous tests during my visit and it was faultless."

To allow for production of the new printer Vermena Goda has expanded it's manufacturing facilities where it has the capacity to produce ten UV-printers per month. The first units of the BigPrinter UV2133SW will be on sale in Russia as of next week at the Reklama 2009 exhibition in Moscow.
