Bluetree Design offers VDP via new HP Scitex FB7500 printer
Bluetree Design and Print in Rotherham is using its newly installed HP Scitex FB7500 printer to expand into wide-format variable data printing (VDP).
The large-format, traditional screenprint specialist, is pioneering the use of VDP in wide-format printing using its HP Scitex FB7500 together with HP SmartStream Designer to create customised output such as versioned posters, POP/POS displays, exhibition graphics, signage and backlit displays. On the back of this Bluetree is extending its digital offering, including the introduction of a short-run digital printing service to attract local retailers wanting to create professional quality, wide-format marketing collateral.
Bluetree has been experiencing an increase in demand for short-run, versioned work from its customers. Managing director Bryan Shirley said: "We will use our new printer to offer our customers a new range of services that will cost-effectively add value to their applications. We believe our ability to offer fully personalised applications will help us win more from our existing customers as well as attracting new business."?
The HP Scitex FB7500 will allow Bluetree to reduce its turnaround times due to a print speed of up to 500m2/hr (or 105, 120 x 240cm sheets), the new press enables Bluetree to offer its customers a flexible, rapid turnaround, digital print service.
