Mimaki makes multiple announcements at Fespa 2018

Mimaki Europe has announced that the UCJV Series with LUS-200 inks will carry the 3M MCS warranty in Europe from mid-summer. This provides protection for the intended life of each graphic, including fading, cracking, peeling and other aspects of the graphic performance. It covers up to eight years on some interior finished graphics, and up to six years on some outdoor applications when using 3M media and installed using 3M guidelines.
At Fespa 2018 Mimaki has also been demonstrating the Rimslow Series - an end-to-end digital textile and apparel printing system. “Currently, businesses wishing to participate in the digital textile printing revolution must purchase printers and pre- and post-treatment solutions from different manufacturers,” said Ronald van den Broek, general manager sales at Mimaki Europe. “Not only is this inconvenient, but there can be implementation issues with no single source of responsibility to resolve them. Following our acquisition of Australian company Rimslow last year, Mimaki now has all the necessary components in place, including pre-treatment of fabrics, digital printing, and steaming and washing post-print with the Rimslow Series.” Mimaki used Fespa 2018 too to announce its first development in the Internet of Things (IoT) for textiles and apparel (TA). Named Mimaki Job Controller TA, the development includes functions to provide production condition management, barcode scanning, and visibility into the production database
