Simpson Group readies for Onset X3 installation

North-east based Simpson Group is preparing for installation this summer of the Onset X3 it ordered at Fespa 2018.

Commercial director Mark Jerrard and production director David Dowson - who shook on the deal for a fully-automated version of the Inca Digital printer at the event in May - viewed a number of options. “Ultimately it came down to speed and quality,” said Jerrard. “As the lease on our old machine was coming to an end, we started shopping around. The Onset X3 is two-and-a-half to three times faster than the machine it is replacing. Jerrard added: “Automation was also a key factor. We’ve opted for a new robotic arm system, because increasingly everything we invest in is targeted at helping us become more efficient.”
