John E Wright to combine Instaprint operation

As of 2 January 2019, John E Wright and Instaprint will operate as a combined venture out of 115 Huntingdon Street in Nottingham.
Acquired by £6m turnover John E Wright in February 2017, Instaprint has continued to operate autonomously from the site, but parent company MD Tony Barnett said: “We have taken this opportunity to combine two highly respected teams of printers in John E Wright and Instaprint under one roof so that we can achieve a genuinely creative environment for our customers with a ‘can-do’ and helpful attitude at an affordable price. Together with the large- and grand-format operation based on Queen’s Drive, the combined operations in Nottingham will provide a full suite of digital print, signage and exhibition solutions and support over 40 jobs within the city. At a time of uncertainty, we are proud to contribute to the community with investment, jobs and local charitable support”. Cost savings from the reduced rent and overheads have been ploughed back into the business in the form of new equipment and an upgrade to staff facilities. New investment includes a Xerox Iridesse digital printer. Production will be jointly managed by Jet Desai from Instaprint and Sarah Dawson from John E Wright with all staff retained from both operations. John E Wright has six operations, from Hull in the north to Oxford in the south mainly serving the corporate marketing, graphic design and small business communities.
