Fujifilm launches Acuity LED 40 flatbed printers

Fujifilm has launched its first LED-curing Acuity flatbed printers. The Acuity LED 40 series is being showcased for the first time in Europe at C!Print in Lyon (4-7 February).
The new printers - with instant turn-on for immediate printing and said to use an estimated 30% of the power of the Acuity Select 20 - provide production capacity of up to 15,000m2/yr, at speeds of up to 53m2/hr. The standard model enables users to print on media/ objects up to 1.25 x 2.5m. There’s also a X2 (double bed size) model that can handle media up to to 2.5 x 3.08m. The Acuity LED 40 uses new LED ink, Uvijet KL, and is available with four, six or eight colour channels. There is the option to add light inks and varnish and to upgrade to what Fujifilm says is its brightest white UV ink ever. According to the manufacturer the Acuity LED 40 white ink system is just as easily cleaned as the other colours with the standard-fitted automated maintenance system.
