Hidetoshi Shinada joins DataLase

Hidetoshi Shinada has been appointed chairperson of photonic printing solutions company DataLase, to drive collaboration and integration with the Sato Group, his previous company. Shinada is well known in the print sector, having held a number of roles within Fujifilm for more than 30 years.
During his time at Fujifilm Shinada oversaw R&D at Fujifilm Electronic Imaging, was chief technology officer and executive vice president at Fujifilm Dimatix, and general manager of advanced marking research laboratories at Fujifilm Corporation. Shinada has received the Queen's Awards for Enterprise: Innovation 2002, GATF Intertech Award 2000 and the Technology Award 2001 from the Japanese Society of Printing Science and Technology. He also holds an MS in Electronics Engineering from Hokkaido University and a Ph.D. from Chiba University in Japan. DataLase’s inkless laser reactive print technologies are used for various applications.
