Amari introduces plywood for direct flatbed printing

Amari Plastics has added to its DTS range with a plywood sheet for direct digital flatbed printing. The new Multiply Digital is targeted at the hoarding, advertising and general sign markets. Because it can be printed directly it does away with the need to print onto vinyls or ACM and then mount on to standard plywood. It can also be more easily and economically recycled.

Made from birch, Multiply Digital is a very tough and heavy-duty board with a specialist coating on the surface that allows the UV digital printer or screen printer to create stunning images. It is backed with a phenolic film. Multiply Digital is 100% recyclable and is manufactured using FSC certified material.

A spokesman for Amari said: "Multiply Digital has been specifically designed and developed over the last two years for the sign and display industries. During this time, the goal was to achieve an eco friendly product that demonstrated outstanding print quality. Multiply Digital is the result of that effort and it is already in use on many projects with much positive feedback coming from the end user."

Amari Plastics carries stock of Multiply Digital in 6.5mm, 12mm and 15mm thick panels in a standard sheet size of 1220mm x 2440mm. Larger panels and double sided boards are available too. Multiply Digital is available in 18mm but not carried as a stock item.
