Sign Warehouse installs upgraded AJ 740i

The Sign Warehouse has installed Ireland's first upgraded Roland AJ 740i at its premises in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. The new machine was bought to increase production speed at the company which produces a wide range of van graphics, internal and external signage, banners, LED signs and window graphics.

Cover-Up buys :Anapurna M

Cover-Up has bought an Agfa :Anapurna M 1.6m wide-format industrial inkjet printer supplied by the Reprocentre. The new investment comes on top of a recent HP 9000 and a 3.2m HP Scitex XL1500 installed last year.

Roland brings out metallic inks inkjet printer

Roland is using Sign Ireland at the end of September to show a prototype of the world's first large-format inkjet printer to run metallic inks.

BAPC introduces money saving schemes

The BAPC has sourced an energy management company called Focus Assured to help you save money on your energy bills. "We're always looking to help members save money and energy costs are a major outgoing," said association chairman Sidney Bobb. "There are many energy management companies out there but a lot of them charge the client a fee. The one we've found has integrity and doesn't."

PrintIt! has gone green. The initiative designed to showcase the career opportunities offered by print, has unveiled its new 'green' identity being rolled out across all its collateral. The new-look centres on an update to the familiar logo, which is now a vibrant green, reflecting the environmental-based learning modules introduced into the 2009/2010 PrintIt! course, as well as the printing industry's commitment to use sustainable and eco-friendly substrates and print processes.

Gescom is the first Italian print company to order an Inca Onset S20. The UV curing flatbed joins another 22 digital printers at the Viterbo-based company, one of the country's leading digital printing specialists.

Hexis targets wall graphics markets

Hexis is targeting the wall graphics market with two new products: the snappily named VCSR100WG1 printable cast vinyl for direct application onto brick, concrete or plaster walls; and Poli-Wall, a digital wall covering that has been especially developed for printing on solvent, eco-solvent and UV curable inkjet printers.
