HP Designjet L25500 is the choice for MTex Goetz + Goetz
MTex Goetz + Goetz has invested in an HP Designjet L25500 printer to supersede its solvent based machine. Owner Heiko Goetz says that the appeal of HP’s latex printing technologies lies in its high speed and ability to print on various materials as well as its environmental benefits.
Designed for use in its JV33 machines and CJV30 print-and-cut units, Mimaki has announced a new metallic ink which can be integrated via a firmware and a RIP update into these existing systems. This formulation, along with a new white ink, is due to ship in October, and will be available via UK sole distributor, Hybrid Services.
Shiraz Software seeks to grow distribution channels with new business development manager
London-based Shiraz Software has announced the appointment of Tom Mooney as business development manager. Mooney, who brings in-depth technical knowledge of print production and extensive account management experience to his new position, will head up the company’s initiative to identify and appoint new distributors in key territories world-wide, including France, Germany, Russia, Turkey and Eastern Europe, renewing sales and service channels for customers in those countries.
Brussels-based Magraf has moved much of its roll-fed indoor and outdoor work onto its HP Scitex LX800 3.2 m machine, the first such unit to be installed in Benelux. Situated in a residential area of the Belgian city, the company’s move to HP’s latex printing technologies was driven by the desire for greener production options with no odour and the ability to output to more polyester-based materials.

Greek sign manufacturer Georgiadis Colorsign has installed a UV-curable Manta from Grapo Technologies. With its 3 x 2 m flat-bed design and the ability to handle media thicknesses up to 60 mm, the Manta can print directly on rigid, heavy and odd-shaped materials including those with structural surfaces such as wood, metal, Plexiglass, glass, ceramic and carpet.
